I think yes, but I’m not sure. In this game, you can probably block everything.
No, DoTs don’t hit so they can’t be blocked, dodged or glancing blowed. The hit that applies a DoT can be blocked/etc, though that wouldn’t do anything to reduce the DoT damage.

How does it work when a creature apply a DOT on the ground? Can you block initial hit and than you are immune or you check your block every tick? Or block is completely ignored?
It depends how the ground effect is coded. If it’s coded as a DoT then no, you wouldn’t be able to block it, if it’s doing damage over a duration then I’d assume it’s a DoT rather than something that hits repeatedly.
