Can the non-trade faction trade with people they party with?

Right now, we can only trade with people we party with. Will that remain the same for people who chose the tradeless faction, or is this only a temporary thing until the factions come out or something? Not sure if trade faction means just the auction house or any trade at all. Thanks for anyone who can clear it up for me!

Merchants Guild means using the bazaar to trade. CoF means no trade. Both can party with people and gift them things.
However, items will have ranks. So if you go CoF and you have an item that requires CoF rank 5, for example, to wear, you can give it to people you party with (after you get the resonance) but they have to be CoF rank 5 to wear it.

EDIT: To expand, when you party with people, after some time (no details yet) you will get a resonance for that person which will allow you to gift one item. The more you play, the more resonances you get and the more items you can give them.

Thank you so much, this is everything I needed to know!

Resonances are only required for items that drop while not in the same zone. If a CoF player drops an item which has a CoF requirement while the MG player is in the same party & zone then that item can be gifted without resonances but still requires the CoF rank to equip as you say.

Yes that’s what I thought, but thanks for the clarification.

Yes, well pointed out. Giving items that drop while in party will continue working the same way. I was just pointing out the different/new things, but that’s an important point to make.
