Can Season 2 set a new record for concurrent player?

I initially think that S2 would not reach a that much hight number of player after the big delay, but seeing the contents, and the general good reception, i’m expecting at least 150k+ concurrent player, and maybe even over 200k, what you thought about it?
Especially after the cold reception of PoE2 new patch i’m expecting a big shift in the player to LE, that could last for quite a while due to the most advanced aspect of the game at the actual state, with a real crafting system, and a infinite endgame, both things that now are missing in PoE2 that can keep the player angage for lot of time.
This can be the perfect situation to set in stone the game in most of the player’s ARPG rotation for now on, just hope for stable server.

A lot of players will try it, I think it probably will beat 1.0. While POE 1 is basically down, LE might temporarily be the most popular classic ARPG, and who knows how long it will last. Depends on how good end-game will feel in this patch.

It looks like for the people who just like to farm it is quite fun game, and will be even more fun after this patch. For the people who wants meaningful combat, like myself, it’s probably not an option though, LE just doesn’t match for POE 2 in this area. But will see, how 1.2 will feel like.

I don’t think it will go over the launch peak. I expect it to go higher than 1.1, though. 150k-200k seems like a good result already.

More important than that will be the retention rate, though.

Last Epoch is currently number 5 in top sellers on Steam. That seems like it’ll contribute to higher player counts. We’ll know for certain in a few hours. I can’t wait!

Oh, launch was 250k, not 70  Then probably not.

I would absolutely love to see it smash the 1.0 launch numbers, but I think it will more realistically hit 100k-150k … Its rare for games to top their launch #s

That’s true but this is kind of a special case given that the two biggest competitors are in the situation they’re in: 1 is in a bad state, no other way to put it, the other is at end of season with a new season starting at the end of the month (and not getting a great reception). So I could forsee this launch topping 1.0. Maybe not likely, but certainly possible.

Here’s hoping!

There are a lot of things that have lined up to help push the player count up. I am hoping they get a higher concurrent player count with stable servers.

Definitely would like to see 350k concurrent players.

I think anything less than 200k is a failure. Keep in mind the goal in this game is to establish a player base and eventually surpass the original launch numbers. Like PoE 1 Last Epoch should be increasing their peak concurrent players overtime as they add big content patches.

I came back, I liked what I saw in the patch notes.

We have already hit almost 150k players and its not even after 5pm yet … The top end of my prediction has been reached. HOLD ON TIGHT BOYS THIS ROCKET IS TAKING OFFFFFFF

That will really depend on where you are. In Europe it’s been after 5pm since the season started

If they don’t fix the error they will se lots of retakes of sold copies. Second season they mess up and don’t have servers for. 1 server for whole Eu is not good planning. 3 for US and Asia and 1 for South Africa. That must change.

They don’t get many chances to fix issues. I think it will be loads that come in and then see all errors and bug and then refund game to never look at it again.

Doubt we’ll go above launch numbers but i bet tomorrow we’ll reach close to 200k

Yes & no.

Sadly server issues on league starts are not rare, PoE had issues for a very long time.

The EU “server” has significantly more capacity according to the devs, so its not like each server that we see (eg, EU, US East, US West, etc) is identical.
