Rarest weapon in the game (I think), looks like every other axe of its base type…

I think Death’s Embrace is a rarer axe (couple of staffs are rarer as well, might be a few more). But it would be nice to see Apathy’s Maw get a more unique look.
I actually like its look. The basic axe look is fine. Not everything needs to be a shiny glowing light stick.
While I agree that not everything needs to be a “shiny glowing light stick”, I think it’s good, not necessary but good, for a Unique have it’s own skin.
Based on it’s name, I could see a “eldtrich horror” design much like the ravenous gloves…
To me the biggest problem is its too small
Comparing Boss Weapons with random drop weapons is not really a good comparison.
For random drop weapons my unqiue is only the 2nd rarest weapon(3rd rarest if you count Shields as a Weapon)
Aside form that Apathy’s Maw is not rare at all. Not only because its very farmable, but it drops very frequenty from Shades if you fight some deeper sahdes with some good amount of %inc. item rarity.
But I agree with OP, that Apathy’s Maw looks very underwhelming visually.
Less of a disappointment than Shattered Lance sword and Alluvion 3d art. 2d art shows swirling lightning/water around the weapons 3d looks like someone put stickers on plastic swords.
