[Campaign Skipping] Waypoints Should Unlock Account-Wide Rather Than By Character

If we can’t have a traditional campaign skip than this seems at least a good enough thing for now.

While I try to bus people to waypoints as often as I can I understand why most people will just ignore you or make fun of you for asking. Because it’s just really annoying since there’s a lot of people with those kinds of needs.

Personally I think it would be cool if there was some kind of “Adventure Mode” or a kind of gauntlet of trials or some other form of campaign skip. But I realize that that’s a lot of work to put together and would be a long time coming if it even happens at all.

I know a few people have posted similar desires.

So as an easier measure to implement would be that unlocking a waypoint on one character unlocks it for all. It’s not perfect but it would be great as at least something.

Feel free to give your feedback or support to the idea.

This!

I am not completely against about the current Skip mechanic, it ensures that you come somewhat prepared to the endgame.

But once you are through, all waypoints should be unlocked. My L89 character needs to get to Thetima for some reason, now I’m running through countless zones from Kolheim Pass to Heboera, do meaningless quests there so I can get to Deep Harbor, do another meaningless quests there (meaningless because I already finished the last quest in the Campaing and I’m way overpowered) to finally get to Lake Liath.

Please, either make a proper Adventure Mode as OP suggested or at the very least let us unlock all waypoints when we finish the campaing or when we unlock empowered Monos.

Or, introduce some other incentives to revisit the places from the campaing on higher levels. This would be nice and bring a lot more value to the towns and cities you (the devs) have designed for the campain.

When did campaign skips become “traditional”?

My issue is that I did the campaign skip as a Solo Account Found player so I can’t group to get the missing waypoints, I’m now blocked from Lagon’s Isle of Storms section as I’ve already done Sanctum. So I just go from Thetima to Soreth’ka so I can’t do any of that part of the game and I have 3 prophecies to Kill Liath which I can’t do now.

If there is a solution for this please let me know as I just seem to be blocked now. Also being able to unselect the Main quest from the quest tracker so it’s not just sitting there bothering me when I can’t finish it would be fantastic!

Here’s what “safed” me: Do the Bastion dungeon, exit in Kolheim Pass, make your way to Hebeora and then you should get automatically the main quest marker which will lead you to Lagon eventually.

However if you don’t finish that quest, you will have now two main quests constantly being on in the tracker, there’s no way to unselect/hide them :\

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that won’t work for me as I already had the earlier quest marker and I’ve done everything in Hebeora all the way until you get into Thetima in the Divine Era. The problem is in Thetima I can’t get on Harton’s Ship to go to Lagon’s Island Area as Yulia, Harton and Grael all have their post-Lagon fight dialogues, not their pre-fight dialogs, so no ship travel to the Islands for me. So I think there needs to be a portal there to head to the Islands as if you’re taking the ship so it’s not locked behind a dialogue that can disappear.

I think the issue is that I did Sanctum and then cleared all of Act 9 already, but I feel if you do the dungeon skips it should at least unlock a waypoint in each area before that (if not all of them) so you can do those areas and get the waypoints. Or the best would be to just auto-clear the main quest until the point you meet back up to the story after the skip giving you all the relevant waypoints, as you did the skip after all and can continue.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. It would be nice to have endgame stuff to do in the open world that isn’t just doing prophecy bounties. Something challenging and rewarding.

Just off the top of my head wouldn’t it be interesting if some really tough open world bosses work on a timer and you have a looking for group system, not just using chat, which will pit you against really challenging fights.

Also other encounters but you get the point. I’m sure some are thinking of Diablo 4 but I haven’t played that game yet and maybe never. I’m sure EHG will cook up something good.
