Bugs and fixes

Hi team of Last Epoch

I have been playing for over 100 hundred hours now. And i must start by saying that Blizzard has alot to learn from you guys, talk about student becoming the teacher. So congratulations on that, we as players apreciate it! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

First off i want to say that i am aware that this has not been a easy project to create, and fix all these bugs and fixes thats needed on such a wide scale game, so many classes and stages (by the way, love the whole timeline theme here) and with the loot and scaling with the loot, stabalization and everything it comes with it, deep respect from me who loves everything that has depth behind it, and this clearly has.

So, down to the points of (i hope easy to fix) and maybee you heard this before, and are on it but it takes time. So instead of going trough all the forum looking for bug fixes or reports i wanted for the first time in my life write to the game developer to help them because there is alot of potencial here.

I will start with the void knight experience. Now, there is alot of safe things to say about this class, its overall a very cool class to play. But the stability of burst damage on him as a close combatant is way to much (even with the second chance when the safeguard comes on that procs very nicely) so if a ordinary mob on lvl 90 timeline hits him twice (yes, normal mob on a lvl 92 voidknight hits with a spell twice he is dead) and the stability of this hardcore character disaperes. I dont know if there is such a thing to add percentige of damage for each character in the game, but this made me stop playing the voidknight, because he is up and close (with alot of resistance) and still its unstable like path of exile, and removes the fun and skillful playing that me as a player are looking for. We want to be heroes :relaxed: Thats the galaxy every player is looking for, we know when we made a mistake, and are not afraid to admit it, but we dobt tolerate unstable, unfair gameplay.

Second one was the archer… And here was also the same thibg as the voidknight on high levels, its just the unstable (whopp your dead) started very early, and i was reading up how to stop this, tryed different strategies, but ended up to not continue on it because even on lower levels of this character (when you go back to 45 stages to level up to take level 50 stages with a 60 archer with alot of gear coming in from the lvl 92 void knight) you know something is not right. So, again here a percentige bonus to these squeesy characters. In a stable and skillful game, the boss is not to hit you once and your dead, but the playfulness that bring skillful players to the top, and the loot to come with it. So stopped playing this at around lvl 60.

I am working on the mage at the moment, he is only lvl 26. So lets see if he has more stable skills that can be combined with some nice loot :relaxed:

And then there is the steam deck. I am playing on the steamdeck, docked on the tv with a PS5 controlled, and i am having a really nice time… and i can see how cool this whole game could get now that the steam deck has proven its worth to the public. So i cant say to much more about it, then get it veryfied with steamdeck.
You gonna gain a whole new plattform of players in the future.

And if you could fix the visuals on the linux system would be awsome, i mean… i play this alot now, and its to bad not to be able to see my characters on the login screen, now that i worked so much for what they are wearing :relaxed:

The rest of the bugs, with the limited grapics on the steamdeck and all that comes with that i am not gonna bring up, because i know you guys are on the beta, and i will wait untill its fully intergrated with steamdeck to say thos things, because right now i can fix most of it with steamdecks own utilities.

But i can say that the party and multiplayer part on steamdeck is awful, you can barely finish a dungeoun with multi as it is. Get disconnected, invites that doesnt work… so at this very moment with the steam deck setup, this is a single game for me that i am playing online.

And to be honest… this is gonna be a great game when you feel its ā€œfinishedā€ and please promise me, dont stop working on it, make it a diamond… :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hey there, Welcome to the forums.

From looking through your post, this is more suited to a feedback thread - which the devs do see - rather than specific bugs.

Some of your comments about classes etc, may be things that other players may offer suggestions and discuss about - helping everyone and giving the devs insight into the what and why of your feedback. E.g. I dont recall my void knight ever being squishy at all - in fact he was too OP most of the time. :wink:

OTher things like one hit kills from Bosses is how the game is designed rather than bugs - you are supposed to not get hit by bosses. Again, this is something that is discussed OFTEN on the normal forums. Most forum users dont read the bugs as much so its hidden here.

Steamdeck issues - the devs have said that they are likely only going to have time to do support this AFTER 1.0 and after they have gotten the controller and Linux issues resolved. So its in the pipeline just not committed yet. All issues that you may find while trying steamdeck isnt something they are going to fix right now. HOWEVER, if you ask around on discord, you are likely to find other steamdeck users who have figured out workarounds specifically to make it more playable - e.g. using Proton fixes some visual issues etc.

Thats why it should probably be in feedback - it doesnt sound like your opinions are bugs the the devs can find the problem and fix.
