I was trying to search my idols for damage over time. I figured if I typed in time it would narrow it down the best, but in fact it showed a lot of idols that didn’t even have time in their affixes nor their descriptions. I’m not sure if there is a hidden tag somewhere causing this to happen. It would show poison, health regen, leech, etc… which are things that happen over time but don’t actually have time in their description. I’d prefer to have an easy way to just search by affixes.
This is just the way it currently works.
The devs have implemented a “clever” feature that “finds” related matches or even matches in Alt info… So if you search for a specific string like “void damage” not only will it find ‘a"void"ance’ matches but it will also find matches to items that indirectly have something that affects void even if the word void is not in the description… If you search for mana it will show attunement matches too. Armour will find strength matches…
Initially I thought it was good, but over time, it makes it really ard to find a specific item in a big stash and just gets annoying…
If I recall, there are a few feedback threads about this and other search related requests too. Not sure what the outcome will be as I dont think the devs have mentioned anything about the searching…
Yeah I assumed it was a clever idea since what it showed were all time related things, but it’s not actually useful for what I want for search. I like the idea, I just don’t like not being able to find this mod at all.
Would be good if they allowed for better search parameters like “AND” and had a checkbox to enable EXACT matches rather than the current default RELATED…
Or a suggestion box for what affix you want.
