I corrupted my The Land Before and a sealed affix was the only thing that got added, nothing got removed, but now I get no 4 companions, it’s also the only unique idol. Am I missing something with the corruption, is this a bug or is my item broken now?

I would assume that’s a bug. Corrupting it must make it so that it’s not a unique item anymore. As the tooltip shows, it’s now a lengedary and not a unique. I’m guessing that the code is checking for unique count == 1 and it’s now returning 0 so it won’t activate that affix.
I would advise you to make a bug report using the in-game tool.
One thing you might do to test this would be to place another one (uncorrupted) and see if it works.
Also place a different unique idol (uncorrupted) and also see if it works.
Likewise, for testing sake, you could place a regular unique land before there and then a corrupted legendary different idol and see if you still also get the extra companions.
I’m guessing that all those will work, because you couldn’t get legendary idols before this season and it wasn’t taken into account in all their validations.
But this is pure speculation on my part, just based on my programming experience.
How are you trying to get four companions? They all have to be different, you can’t have more than one of each (except for frogs).
Or wolves (with either the node or the amulet). Or crows. Or raptors with the dagger.
Are you doing this for the 23 frog set up. If so use one non corrupted land before time and three corrupted ones. Idk if alter matters but try the one that gives 2% more boss damage. It can place 4 adorned in the four corners
I was just corrupting the two I had. One bricked completely and the one in the pic got the affix added, but disabled the 4 companions it gives, so now I only have 5 frogs instead of the 9. I’ll have to get another one and try it, but that will take me time since they shot up in price to 400k gold.

The fact this works is fucking so funny and very clearly they just didnt even consider the interaction its funny and stupid haha.
The item is no longer unique, it is legendary.
