Hi there,
Absolutely loving this game! What a great surprise find.
I noticed that some buffs show above the action bar, while others don’t. If there is a method to this madness, fair enough, but it can be a little bit confusing.
For example: Primalist- Aspect of the Panther subskill of Swipe- it shows how many stacks I have, and indicates cooldown.
However, when I use Fury Leap with Warrior’s Entrance, that does not show. It is proccing, as I can see in my character sheet, but it would be really nice to see it and get a visual feedback on when it expires.
Same with lightning Aegis on my mage- I can visually see it on my character, but it would be awesome if it showed above the action bar.
It may be that you’ve avoided this so that there isn’t too much visual clutter for high level players with tons of buffs, but it would be cool to at least have an option to turn it on while you’re getting the hang of things. Or maybe there is, and I didn’t see it…
Anyhow, keep up the great work! Thrilled to be part of the EA.
So generally:
The devs working on bringing more and more temporary buffs and sometimes even passives that can trigger each X seconds to have an icon.
This is an ongoing process and they in fact just added a bunch with the latest patch.
But the devs definitely want to only keep buffs that are actually relevant to some sort of gameplay or decision making.
Because if you would show too much, the UI can very quickly get overlaoded.
There are alot of buffs that fall into the category “would be nice to see them”, but they would actually not change how you play, which then again if you think about it, would not be necessary to be displayed.
Some buffs would maybe evne depend on the exact build to be relevant or not.
So i think the best case would be a “toggle” for things you want to see, but this would be probably pretty advanced and i will not expect something like this in the near future or if at all.
