I really enjoy the game and especially the build depth, but I wanted to give feedback on combat clarity and UI readability.
Right now, effects like Maelstrom stacks, buffs, and proc-based mechanics are often difficult to track in real time. For example, maintaining stack-based skills like Maelstrom can feel unclear because there is no clear visual indicator for stack count or uptime.
Compared to other ARPGs, having more visible stack/buff tracking (even simple UI indicators such as stack counters or clearer buff bars) would greatly improve gameplay readability without needing a full addon system.
I believe this kind of improvement would:
help new players understand mechanics faster
improve build experimentation
make combat feedback feel more responsive and satisfying
reduce confusion around proc-based or stacking systems
The game already has great mechanical depth, and better visibility would make that depth much easier to appreciate.
Thanks for your work on the game — it has a lot of potential, and I think UI clarity improvements would go a long way.
No ARPG does a good job of any sort of buff tracking really. I think while overall it can defintiely be improved even the big players in the game do a bad job and LE is actually not that far off there. There are a lot of buffs that don’t need tracking, because they simply don’t change decision making or skill rotation, while other do and I think LE already does a good job of filtering those out from the start.
PoE2 does a great job of indicating skills on the action bar in a highlighted way (mostly with some coloured borders) that they are somehow enhanced or benefit from anything if you use them now.
I think a combination of “enhanced hightlight” in LE when a certai nskill benefits from a specific buff (like for example having maximum stacks of Beneath the Waves’ “Lagon’s Slumber Buff” and a way to either manually or automatically have certain buffs be highlighted specially on the buff bar, or maybe have them shown in a dedicated extra section fo the buff bar could help some builds feeling a bit smoother to play.
Once this is implemented in a very good and statisfying way, I think this would also enable new opportunities with Key Nodes on a any skill spec tree, allowing certain Keystones to give game changing effects based on conditional things that could be tracked with these new systems.
Hey thanks for replay, i never said that other are perfect and obviously there is no perfect soultions that fits them all. That said Im not sure if developer are working at ANY imporovments in that departmen. I might be worng on this one, I just dont’ know. It would be great if they work on any solutions that maybe we can be somehowe involved in evaluation what as players we think which skills neeed more clear visualization/ui changes as this may be diffrent than developer ideas. It does not ahve to be big. Sometihnhg like for example word or warcraft buff visual cues would be grat and did not clutter AI and give perfect visual indicators. It would be also perfect if we could cale them up and down. There is a lot if ideas flaoting around and I think many pople got thier solutiond and what would they like to see. This topic was just to open this enchancment of the game as an idea for develpoment.
