Bought Ultimate Edition... can't use any of my pets or cosmetics in offline mode (which I'm forced to play right now?)

What an jerk-like response. Get off your high horse.

This has already been discussed in this thread. Ironic since you comment on others not being able to read. Not to mention, your instructions don’t involve clicking off the main store page… So show me where the info is on the main store page that you say is there?

The info is only on one of three pages.

It’s on the Ultimate Edition page. That’s it. It’s not on the main store page (where 95% of people will have bought the game from), nor is it on the Upgrade to Ultimate page.

Bingo.

And like 95% of people aren’t clicking on the ultimate page because the main page tells you what comes with it in two places. You can add it to your cart right there.

It’s probably an oversight, but it’s a very bad oversight.

So you’d be cool buying a TV tomorrow but it only turns on to a scrambled screen.

I mean you bought it. They advertised it. They just didn’t tell you it couldn’t be unscrambled.

First world problem though. So just keep the TV, why not, right?

Such Drama, NO one FORCED you to play offline, you welcome to go play another game.
Online has worked pretty well today so you could of deleted this post and played online with your MTX like youve been crying about.
Not like its permanant.
Go find your dummy

Glad it did work out for you. I was able to complete one or two zone transitions, it did not work pretty well.

uhmmm.
i think if you looked at the forums at all you would see for 99% of people online has not worked “pretty” well

What, pointing out that you’re wrong & that the “cosmetics require you to be online” bit is on both the deluxe & ultimate versions?

It isn’t, to be fair, included on the standard version or either of the upgrades. Should it be on every version available to be purchased & the supporter packs (which, bizarrely don’t have any proper store page)? Yes. Is it “nowhere at all”, no.

Have you ever tried to post something on a phone (you have a phone right?) then gotten distracted by your manager/Group CFO to do some work (you know, that thing that adults do when they’re not ranting on the internet because there isn’t a manager they can talk to) & posted it a few hours later?

I’m sure you read a bit further up. It’s in 2, not ideal, but better than 1 though I agree it should be in 7 (3 versions + 4 supporter packs).

Yeah, during peak time it’s not great. Got home at 8:30, cooked some dinner & it’s now 9pm & I can’t log in (again), which sucks, but it is what it is. I’ll play another game rather than ranting like an autistic kid (my eldest, before you start getting all distressed about it) who can’t control their emotions & doesn’t realise that not being able to play their desired game isn’t the end of the world.

Edit: Though TBF, the OP said they bought the ultimate edition which is one of the few places that it does actually say that the cosmetics require being online, so…

Ok, guess you should play online then so you can use it.
And if you @BadNatey paid Double, then look around and take a look at what some of us others paid for the very same game.

did you get 100 epoch points or 150? i bought the ultimate edition too like 3 days back and i fucking regret it

Well, to be fair, I don’t think the page told him anything. He’d be required to read. And, most of these mouth-breathers have proven that written language can be a challenge for them.

You see, this is funny because I ask for someone to show me where it says this on the Last Epoch store page… and all that happens is people make insults but don’t actually post it because it doesn’t say it.

I can read fine, thank you.

I’ll check when I get home. I assume 100, but I’m not sure. Haven’t been able to play online yet.

Where did you get that screenshot? I don’t see that anywhere on the main Last Epoch store page. When I click read more on the editions description, it’s a couple pictures with info on each bundle.

The only "fine print* says that the soundtrack will be delivered following the release of patch 1.0.

Again, I’ve admitted if you click on ‘The Ultimate Edition’ store page, it gives you the info. But how many people go to those pages to buy the game? 2%? Most people will just add it to their cart from the Last Epoch store page, where it gives a description of what comes with each edition, but fails to mention online only. And this is how I purchased. I read the info on the main store page about each edition, liked the fox, added to my cart and bought the game.

Luckily I will play online when it works. But this isn’t very fair to someone who is buying to play offline.

Glad it worked for you. But not everyone is on your gaming schedule.

Also, I was forced to play offline if I wanted to play the game I bought at that time.

Store page, click the “Package info” button for either the deluxe or ultimate versions.

From the 2 relevant version store pages, as it said at the top of each screenshot.

I thought you bought the ultimate edition, like you said in the OP. And that is, ironically, one of the few places where it does actually say that.

Yeah, that’s true. As I said above, it should say in all 7 places you can buy the game (3 editions + 4 supporter packs).

To be fair, you don’t need to click on package info. You have an option to add to cart directly in the main store page.

I think it’s an oversight that they added that text to those 2 and not everywhere. Probably because they were all rushing to get ready for 1.0 and didn’t notice the discrepancy.

So you’ve just confirmed it’s not on the main Last Epoch store page. It’s on a separate page that 98% of people don’t go too when buying the game.

They list all the stuff in the ultimate and deluxe editions, like 3 times on the main Last Epoch store page (where you can buy all three versions of the game). Nowhere in this page, that 98% of people will buy from, does it state that cosmetics are online only.

Again, it’s probably an oversight. But it’s a bad oversight, especially for people who just want to play offline.

Bingo. Almost all people are going to buy it from the main store page. There’s no reason to go to the other store pages when all the contents are listed 3 times on the main store page.

It is probably an oversight, but it’s not a great one for peiple who why to play offline.

But it’s also an oversight on other places where they are selling the game. Fanatical, a legitimate reseller, also doesn’t list the cosmetics as online only.

Yes, you are correct. I had assumed it was in all of them because this discussion came before and Mike said they would place it in all the relevant places, but it appears it did not.

I agree that it is a bad oversight. Just like was pointed out in the other thread. I just don’t think it was malicious (otherwise they wouldn’t place it anywhere on steam).

Also, offline cosmetics is not a closed issue. It’s possible that it will be eventually allowed. Probably not anytime soon, though.
