Bone Golem model being dislocated while using Dread Shade

Hey there,

I haven’t found any topics about this one. Currently leveling a Bone Golem Necromancer and unless I’m completely misunderstanding what’s intended or not, there is a weird bug happening quite frequently when using a Bone Golem in combination with Dread Shade. It appears that the Bone Golem’s model gets dislocated when using traversal skills and / or the Bone Golem itself is moving or leaping across the screen too fast, while Dread Shade is active. Whenever the bug occurs, the model of the bone golem is dislocated from the actual physical position of the golem, which becomes “invisible” in what appears to be a fixed distance. It seems like the model is anchored around the physical position of the Bone Golem and it will float and spin around the physical location in a set radius. I noticed this bug occured a lot more often when I started using boots with the experimental affix “Minions teleported around you after you use a traversal skill”, further hinting at the fact that it has something to do with the golem’s movement. This state can only be undone by resummoning the golem.

It is very hard to keep track of your invisible Golem while you’re trying to spam rip blood on it, which is kind of essential to the build, so this is definitely something that diminishes my effectiveness and fun as of right now.

EDIT: I’ve played on for another while with the experimental affix mentioned above and this has by now proven to not be an occasional occurance, but rather a permanent state. It is now so consistent that I’m thinking about parking my necro until it is fixed. The “telestomp” experimental affix is super good, but the bug makes it very awkward and hard to play.

bump!

Yea, this has been an issue since the graphic changes to golem, I think it was 9.0. It’s even worse if you’re running 4 golems with Aaron’s Will… you have 4 golem models zipping weirdly around the edge of the screen and it’s incredibly disorienting. It’s fixed by recasting the golem, but it’s a huge pain for mana management to do that.

Pretty much turned me off playing golem till it’s fixed. I think it has something to do with positioning after the jump attack they do, because I’ve noticed that it always seems to happen right after.

yeah after playing many more hours I can say with certainty it is triggered by the golem’s movement and probably has nothing to do with dread shade, as I previously assumed. The detachment of the model happens consistently whenever I use transplant with the “telestomp” boots. I’ve suffered through it so far, but given the fact that this has been an issue since the graphic update patch, as you mentioned, I truly hope it’s on EHGs radar and it’ll be fixed soon. At least for launch :S
