Blessings are a great idea - I’ve managed to change my items a bit based on at least 2 of them, Critical Strike Avoidance (41%) and Critical Hit Chance (62%).
I am currently re-running both of these timelines to improve the rolls.
I have spent most of the weekend chasing higher crit chance and testing a bit in Arena.
Once I have my nice high rolls I’m after, what happens if I want to change them in the future? - I have to re-run the timelines again and again … but I lose the lovely high roll I spent days trying to get. It makes me unwilling to change a blessing once I’ve settled on one.
Let’s take Freeze rate and Ward per Second as examples - both of these are from level 80 (or 100) Ending the Storm. If these stats were on items and I want to try one out for a bit then change my mind and go back to my old setup, I simply have to swap items in seconds.
Not so with Blessings … I have to re-run a timeline multiple times - probably taking days - not only just to get the specific blessing I gave up and want back but also to get a good roll on it.
It would be nice if we had a sort of Trophy Room where, as you got a blessing you could put it in there.
Then the player could pick which 7 blessings they want to use or try out. They could swap them in and out like items.
I could run the timeline with my Mana blessing. I could then swap that for the Freeze rate blessing after killing the boss. I could go to my Trophy Room, put the Freeze rate blessing in it’s place and swap it back to the Mana blessing stored in there.
I think this would work particularly well with the increased item find blessings - belts, boots, rings etc. I could pick up the belt blessing for a few runs, then quickly swap out to the boots blessing. Same with gold, glyphs and XP.
Players may also run timelines more and experiment more if they knew their hours of previous gameplay wan’t going to be wiped out so quickly with a change of blessing as it currently stands.
