Blessings still need fixing

I think I’m actually going to stop for now. Really tired of running Reign. You must be numb by now. 75! Jeez.

Honestly I think they should just make blessings less powerful so we don’t care as much about bad rng with them. Most of the problem right now is just that blessings are incredibly powerful, and so you have little choice in what your build will use in each, and blessing grind is just a very very big necessity to do early on for every new character.

ANd I dont mean like, just reduce the numbers in the ones we have, I don’t think blessings should be giving resistances, leech, csa, armor %, endurance % etc… No matter what they do, it’s either going to feel bad becuase of rng, or going to be something you dont think about becuase you just click the button to give you the thing you need, and you move on. Blessing design how it exists has no room for anything interesting to happen.

0.0000203 that it wouldn’t appear in 26 attempts.

But just think of the feels you’ll be feeling when it does drop!!!

“LOL”.

Great Scott!!! Poor @Zaodon, then.

The only problem then is that they would need to retune passives or items (or both) to give you those stats you need that you currently get from blessings. They have room to do that, but it would take some doing. Like maybe extra passive points and either/or passives that give resistances at the base of a lot of the trees. I think the game could kind of use those anyway.

What I think would be a good compromise would maybe be to have certain blessings that are set that you automatically get to pick one of, and then a separate minor blessing you can also choose that is a bonus just to how you play the game, like the extra % chance to drop certain shards, increased item rarity, experience, gold, etc. Maybe if you get really lucky, you can pick one that gives you an extra item cache you can open right then also, and it has the property that automatically gives you one of the rarer item types, like certain echoes do. At least that would be something you could benefit from immediately / regardless of your build.

There’s an old saying that “The 3rd time’s the charm.”

For me, add seventy five. (Got it on run #78).

Dude, that is literally me in real life. The Anger guy from Inside Out.

Anyway. Like I said above, follow the silly guide, get what you need, move on to better things.
