I do hope that EHG introduce a very rare consumable drop that lets you reset the LP in a legendary item. So if you miss a 3LP godly item (like let’s say a 3LP Twisted Heart), you can reset it and try again with such a consumable.
The Twisted Heart is solely for the +str and +% health. +16 str is T7 str and +20%hp is T7 %hp. So it gives you T7 str T7 %hp by default, if rolled well. Then you can add another T7 str into it if it has 1-2LP. It’s one of two legendaries that can give you 30+ str in the relic slot and it comes with 20% hp, it’s BIS for this build even though we don’t utilize any of the other bonuses. The only downside is that using it like this will inevitably get it nerfed lol
I agree. I think this could be good. I think it should work like a Rune of Creation though in that you can only do it to a particular Unique once but it would definitely help mitigate some of the numerous layers of RNG.
Because the only things this build really cares about is Health and Strength, and TH gives both of those in abundance.
For the record I am playing this build right now. I am level 77 and absolutely destroying everything, even with crappy gear. Here’s my current build (TheCurse, check out the Boulderfists gloves I managed to roll lol)…

Finally, I haven’t tried with an Idol that would summon Thorn Totems on hit. I do have one though, planning to try it out tonight.
I levelled with Swipe (while levelling Swipe) and Wolves and the best 2-hander I could find.
Got Strength on everything I could.
Switched to 2x Cleaver Solution asap (level 27).
As soon as I got Mastery, I unlocked EQ asap in Shaman and switched to the full build at that point (this is around level 30).
Did not switch to low life version until I had 2 LL items (chest and boots, level 63), as before that it just doesn’t work as a LL build (for me at least).
Once you have the low life sorted and have 5 points in the Berserker passive in Primalist, this build goes through the roof in power. I am loving it. Still only managing to rock 6000 ward at rest, but is easily enough for now (level 77).
Well, this was some time ago, and TheCurse had already answered the heart issue. But when I did the build, I actually switched to it as soon as I got earthquake. Worked fine, tbh.
The only impact the build has on LL is the LL node which you can select at any point after getting LL items.

I have a TH lined up but I am unsure if I want to use it tbh. I think I prefer a Weaver’s relic for Primalist even though the one I have currently is garbage. Do you recommend TH for this build?
I don’t have a TH. You don’t need it for the build to work. You don’t even need the exsanguinous or the boots. Those are just for LL, which you can postpone until you get the gear. The build still works fine until you do.
IIRC, I started using the build at lvl 30 or close to that. Basically, as soon as I had enough passives to unlock earthquake. It worked good enough and allowed me to watch it grow over time, which I like.

Just started levelling one and it works very well so far.
I made an interesting change and so far it seems pretty good: I removed Fury Leap and took Summon Bear instead.
I only take the two Beastmaster nodes boosting a single companion, everything else unchanged, no other minion nodes or gear.
But my bear can: 1. Create Claw Totems, and more totems is great. 2. Use Swipe, with the spec tree (culling, bleed, phys shred). 3. Get armour based on my strength. With this build, that’s a lot of armour!
Wait and see how the bear performs at higher levels. For levelling the synergy is great.
Hey man, just a tip. With 1.0 a lot of new players will come across your YT channel and your builds (which is a good thing, your builds are primo, obv), problem is if they watch your guide for this build they will have absolutely no clue how to get from picking Primalist when they log in to being at the character sheet at level 85 as provided.
I think a neat idea, if you would want to, would be to add a leveling zero-hero video to some of your builds that you think would be suitable to start with in 1.0.
Definitely a great suggestion. I’m hoping to put out an acolyte leveling video before launch. Not sure I’ll have time for all the other classes though. We’ll see! Thanks for the support and input either way <3
Hello there, for the leveling part, if you don’t care about leveling as a pure beastmaster, you can just use the primalist thorn totems leveling build. Fast (very) and effective, then you can switch when you have all the items you need. It can be a good alternative for the 1.0 release when your bank will be empty !
