Beast Master Viper Fangs Passive bugged?

I’m wondering if the Viper Fangs passive for Beast Master is bugged or just visual. It says +5% melee attack speed and +5% increased companion melee attack speed. It is worded to indicate this is an always active passive that is provided in addition to the envenoming passive of the aspect of the viper and my character is always under the effect of the +5% attack speed. It is hard to tell if my wolves are benefiting from the +5%. The character sheet correctly updates my own attack speed with the +5% however I noticed the passive says “companion melee attack speed” and my character sheet says “minion” stats. Either way my minion stat sheet does not update with +5% it just stays at the current rate.

Is this just a visual mistake on the character sheet, or are my minions not actually gaining any attack speed from this passive?

Here’s an imgur link to my character sheet before and after putting 1 point into ‘Viper Fangs’.

I see the same. Minion attack speed does not show an increase.

Same  sucks too attack speed is my main scaler for my build and this is 50% in all. Can any one confirm somehow if this actually is applying or not?

Devs?

Just tested this, the passive speed increase is working for my wolves and is always on (doesn’t require aspect of the viper to proc). I timed a single wolf attacking the training dummy: without Viper Fangs he took 9 to 9.3 seconds (roughly) to attack 9 times; with 8 points in Viper Fangs (40% increased attack speed) he took 6.5 to 6.7 seconds (roughly). If I was better with the ol’ stopwatch I imagine the numbers would’ve come out perfectly, but that’s still pretty close to a 40% increase.

As for it not showing on the minion tab, I don’t think that’s a bug, it’s probably intentional. I believe the minion tab only shows increases that apply to all of our minions; since Viper Fangs only applies to our companions it shouldn’t show up there.
