Base item type upgrade

I would love if there were a way to upgrade the base item type.
It could have a 50% chance of being destroyed on failure. For unique items, the success chance could be around 10%. If the unique has Legendary Potential (LP), the success rate could be halved for each LP it has.

The same could apply to Weaver’s Will items, but with an even lower success chance compared to regular uniques.

I think for exalted items this could be a potential new endgame crafting that would be very useful and exciting.

But for Uniques this shouldn’t be a thing. Uniques are designed with these base types in mind and are balanced around them.
