BALANCING only in-between cycles is INSANE

This cycle has 2 IMMENSELY overpowered builds and the next cycle will too. Its unfeasible that one or two balancing updates in-between cycles will be enough to balance all classes.
That being said, our prospects for this game is - to either play a class you want and that will be very weak and expensive/time consuming in general - or to play the overpowered build which is usually boring and will burn you out quickly, but will be able to push higher corruptions and farm a ton of gold and items. And so if you want to make more than 1 build per cycle the best option is to make an overpowered build to farm until you buy/get all the stuff you’ll need for some other build you’ll likely never play because it will never get close to the power level of the overpowered builds.
I don’t see any solution other than the superficial comment that one should, “just play for fun”, which overlooks the obvious fact that A LOT of rpg players in general have fun getting stronger and that if there is no competition then there is no reason for solo players to even play online.
So to summarize, I don’t think balancing these ridiculously overpowered builds only once every 3 months is enough at all. Speaking for myself, I see no reason to keep playing the game if this really is EHG’s long-time stance on balancing.

The insane part to me, it isnt even a balancing change. At least with Profane Veil its a bug fix. It is 10 factors stronger than intended by the tooltip.

I can’t believe they nerf keys cause its basically to disruptive, but with the logic that they used I dont see how they can say with a straight face that they wont do skill balance/fixes mid cycle.

Balance right now looks like this: there is 80% of builds quite similar in strength and 20% so op that the whole fun from the game is dead as you discover how shit your build is compared to 3-4 meta builds that for example are boring or you dont enjoy the playstyle at all. The worst part is especially because of the skill system where you can explore and combine a lot of different ways to modify skills, that is just worthless because of limited amount of the only ones OP builds leaving everything behind in a dumbster. This is casual focused game right now where you dont care about pushing endgame and stay forever in mid game just enjoying creating all the time new chars and builds. Otherwise you must choose the very limited meta
