Bad waiting in video games: not beeing able to do anything - waiting for the game to progress.
The echo nodes that have arena fights need to be reworked or adjusted.
This is how my arena fights go: stand on one of the seals - hold right mouse button down and wait till it’s over.
No moving - no interaction - no brain required.
I just had 4 arenas back to back and I’m bored out of my mind
Please consider adjustments to make them more interesting and remove the “bad waiting”.
(this is on 200 corruption - I undertstand that on high tiers this might change - fakt remains that it’s bad on low tiers though)
Yeah, I hate arena nodes for how long they take to finish. Especially when it ends after wave 17. On top of that arena nodes drop very little loot compared to regular nodes. Most of my timelines are at 300-350 corruption and I have one at 440, it doesn’t change from what OP is experiencing. I know Amarathy has a timeline with 550 corruption and I’ve seen his arena nodes being just as boring, so it doesn’t change with corruption.
Seems like you are lucky :). in my arenas I need to run arround a lot or I get instagibbed depending on the enemys. Non the less I hate arena mode and I can’t word my disgust of having them in another game mode but that’s only me. I never understood the need of mix and mash game modes.
Some Arena nodes are also boring for me, but some are challenging. I need to move, run, drink potions, use all my skills, etc. And all this at lower corruption.
Better yet, remove arena nodes from Monolith. I have plenty of arena keys should I want to play arena. I still have them because I don’t want to play arena.
In a way, the monolith echoes with “gates” are like a mini arena at the end of the map.
I don’t mind a high pack density style echo goal, but maybe it could be done differently. Maybe a “gate” with a 2 minute timer where there are continuous spawns, similar to the beacon nodes maybe, with a boss at the end. Those could be challenging for some players.
I think the reason they have certain monolith goals are to challenge different types of builds. Some players excel at masses of mobs, others are good at bossing, etc. I like that players monoliths offer different sorts of challenges.
Yeah, but arena nodes are just obnoxious. They just take too long compared to even beem charge nodes. I have a few builds that run echos within 2-3 minutes and suddenly an unskipable arena node that takes 5-7 minutes just ruins the flow of the game for those builds.
So you like playing the game by not playing it/engaging with it as lightly as possible (running through as quickly as possible)?
That said, you can choose to not do the arena nodes & just like not every reward needs to be the best possible reward, not every echo needs to be super-####ing-awesome-completed-it-in-0.1ms-teh-roxorz!
Just wait till you get an Arena node with 12 embermages at once… I figure you may have to move a little… to the left… just a smidge… no, not that way, thats where the lightmage is aiming… thats better… WAIT… not so far… more embermages spawned…
Do I need to know why you pick an argument with me on every single thread? I said why I don’t like arena nodes. They break the flow of the game and have little to no reward, but nooooooooooooo I must be wrong, because I’m criticizing the game. Take a hike, you clown.
