Awesome loot filter

A huge loot filter idea would be to be able to specify custom loot filters (where you can specify a custom string like “critical damage”), when activated your character will automatically pick up all loot that have the custom filter search string in it. (same code/triggers used when you run past health potions).

Pretty please!! This would be awesome!! - Many thanks and was a great game thus far - nice job!

I am not fan of any “automated proccesses”, like pickung up loot automatically.

I think if we get more and more features and function for the loot filter, that will already be a big improvement to remove as much unwanted gear as possible, so you don’t have to check too many gear pieces on the ground.

i’m also not a fan of this, but i have enjoyed the “AoE loot” button in Chronicon. you still have to press a button, but it loots anything in the area that matches your filter. and iirc, it can be set differently to your main filter. i wouldn’t mind something like this for LE.

so for example you could have the game show all items with x affix, and then set your area loot button to only pick up items with x tier of that affix. it does veer dangerously close to that mindlessness you aren’t a fan of, Heavy, but since RSI is a real concern for a lot of people, i don’t see an issue with giving players tools to prevent it. this idea still requires you to interact with the loot, but also gives people’s fingers and wrists a break. what are your thoughts? still too automatic?

It worked well in Sacred 2 well over a decade ago, it’d be ok here. Though you’d quickly run out of inventory space if you didn’t have a strict filter.

i already have a stash packed to the rafters with idols and random items that i “might use eventually” as well as 1/3-1/2 of each character’s inventory with items that i “might craft eventually”… i have only myself to blame. hoarder’s gonna hoard, whether we have easy loot pickups or not.
