Okay, so I gave the ledger from the “Artem’s Offer” quest to Erza and thus got the Avarice gloves as a reward. I picked them up, equipped them and then noticed the quest hadn’t been completed, but rather still asked me to “Look for Elder Erza’s Ledger in Erza’s Study”.
I went back to the study thinking the quest might get completed if I grab the ledger again, but it wasn’t there anymore. I thought “Meh, at least I got the quest reward” and continued playing for a while before quitting.
After taking a break, I jumped back into the game, but when I logged on this time, the gloves were no longer in my inventory. I tried relogging, but that made no difference.
The quest is still listed as incomplete, there’s still no ledger to be found in the study anymore, and my quest reward has somehow evaporated.
Is there something I can do to finish the quest properly or, more importantly, at least get my gloves back? It’d really suck if my character is now permanently locked out of both finishing the quest and getting the reward just because of some random bug.
EDIT: No idea what’s going on, but the Avarice gloves are back in my inventory now all of a sudden. I’d still like to know if there’s some way to end the quest so it doesn’t show on my map/journal anymore, though.
