Autoproc Smite and Lagon

I’ve just finished the campaign and I had a weird issue during the fight against Lagon.
It may have been pure bad RNG, but it’s very unlikely.
It may be messing with my eyes. It may be. Maybe.
Or it may be a bug.

I have four idols that can cast Smite on hit with throwing attacks, and I’m attacking mainly with Hammer Throw. The combo works perfectly and Smite casts relatively often (32% chance), but during phases 1 and 3 against Lagon, I did not see any Smite.
During phase 2 against the tentacles I saw many Smites, but while on the platform fighting against head and claw, I saw nothing and I never noticed damage peaks other then hammers’ crits.

Could it be that Smite’s animation are too high to be displayed, or hidden by Lagon’s huge body?

Yes that’s it most likely.

I think most (if not all) vfx are not scaled to the enemy they hit.

I know that for Bone Curse for sure, but most otherstuff doesn scale too.

Lagon has a HUUUGE hitbox, but the VFX is most likely happening in the center, inside his hitbox.

Yeah, they’ll be inside his body.
