Auto-moderation in chat seems a little extreme

Hello. I would like to bring to attention that in my opinion the auto-moderation in Global is a little extreme. Earlier today I tried to make a comment containing the word “ass” (for context, I said my ass will be dumb enough to buy d4 on launch)
My message was autoblocked with a message implying I posted something racist, violent or extreme which of course is a bit ridiculous.
There seems to be a profanity filter so there already is an option for people who do not want to read words like that. Seems a little extreme and redundant to then have my message blocked with such an unpleasant warning.

Just wanted to point this out. Thank you for the otherwise amazing game!

If ppl want to see the language they can turn off the profanity filter. Personally I’m glad for it. That word is caught by that filter for a reason.

My profanity filter is turned off, if it was the profanity filter just blurring the word it would not be a problem but this was the chat auto-moderation system.
I understand some people may not like words like that but that is what a profanity filter is for.

Ah, now I got ya. Even with it turned off it catches it.

The profanity filter is so that you don’t see (and receive a critical hit to your morality) by someone else saying naughty words (the horror!). It won’t (& shouldn’t) stip you from saying them given the rapscallion you are which is what the, currently over-zealous, auto-moderation AI based on the Pope is for.

Exactly, It’s overzealous and the wording of warning is a tad bit unpleasant if you’re trying to say something relatively harmless.

I guess it does, maybe it’s the combination of dumb and ass it doesn’t allow, I’m mildly confused now.

Yes, I know what it’s for. I was under the mistaken understanding that he said even with it turned off it still filtered it out.

You like them, enjoy them. My filter is turned on because I don’t. I didn’t understand him correctly at first and he clarified that.
