Transitioning to a new area should be an interact, not a proximity trigger (if that’s how it’s currently being done - that’s how it’s effectively working). I am losing count of the times the game throws me to a new area when I didn’t intend it. I had to kill the end of area boss in The Ruined Coast 4x (no kidding) because the game kept throwing me into The Temporal Sanctum at the end of the fight, before I could click on the Sapphire Tablet.
Please consider changing this. It’s not saving clicks to have it. It’s removing player agency.
