I am completely against the recent hike in the RMT on account’s but really given the launch week, is this really a well thought about idea and something that should of maybe been discussed with the community.
Whilst I would of posted this and most likely will in the forum also, myself and many others purchased the game knowing that many of us have “legitimate reasons for this”.
For example: I have daughter who enjoys this game and therefore bought the game on her account, however whilst she does not play all the time, I use the game when she is not. However, I have higher character progression and I have bought us both upgrade versions and I have considerable more MTX’s. Now for the reasoning of users harming the in game economy with a “Game Issue” not an issue on my end, I am now resulted to simply the following:
- Use only my daughter’s account and loose out on one upgrade purchase and all my MTX’s and character’s
or- Buy the game twice due to “in-game related issues”, that can be solved internally.
If this is the route that the company feel is the way they wish to conduct business, that fine but can you also possibly respect the community and potentially offer the following:
- Allow users to migrate characters and purchases (MTX’s, Supporter Packs, and etc) once to potentially to the family shared or account of their choice, in the hopes of alleviating this issue. (With the acceptance of course with criteria’s such as: Proof of eligibility for the connected account, email verification links (to solve account purchases) and etc?
Forcing us as a consumer to pretty much say “HEY DEAL WITH IT, BLAME THE RMT’s”. Buying the game twice isn’t really the issue, it just seems bad practice and for it some of us now, we are forced to buy the game twice for a feature you clearly as a team stated way before 1.0 Launch.
Thanks
