One of the best things about LE is the public character profiles, so we can see a post like this and look at the characters the OP has and realise that, everything that they have companied about is a user error.

I hope it does as time goes on, the genre has been left alone for a surprisingly long time after D2 after all, with few exceptions branching out a bit… before it started coming up more and more again in more modern times.

I’m sorry, I foolishly assumed that you’d done all of your “research” for your “petition” in game or online when you’ve apparently gone out into the streat & asked random people IRL about it, written it down & then physically mailed it to EHG.

The only instances I encountered of getting one shot after the patch were the 300C Woven Echos for Harbinger (Fading Brink I think it’s called) and the one with the juiced up Rift Beast (no idea how that one is called).
These guys hit me for good 5k+ damage on C300. Not just the Harbingers but also the Void Drill adds that spawn in that fight and charge through the arena. And that is with damage reduction from Red Ring and Null Portent, good resists, endurance, mostly crit immune (as long as I manage to blind), a decent amount of ward and health (though that could still be improved).
I think those two Woven Echos are still slightly overtuned. Abberoth has no chance but these just hit me twice and I’m dead.
Everything else was fine after the patch. Currently doing almost 700C and only dying to regular bosses and rares when I’m asleep behind the keyboard. The char can do more and is still climbing. No drastic damage spikes in regular play after the patch as far as I can tell.
Uff.
On a side note: I must admit that reading these arguments became a guilty pleasure for me. Thanks for everyone making this entertaining.

You do sometimes behave in a passive aggressive manner, not all the time, obviously, but you appear to be quite happy to denegrate people who disagree with you as can be seen in this thread & the other one.

Man, the majority of players don’t know how any ARPG works. Opinions are biased and subjective. The volume of players who copy/paste builds dwarfs those who role play, and outnumber in even higher volume those who possess competency developed enough to truly get what makes their build function.
But you’re right, early game is incredibly important, it’s what holds a new players attention. End game is what keeps them. Often times, you find that a nice balance between both is what creates life long fans. I don’t know what happened since this thread got started, but from the frequency of updates for the game, I’m starting to get the feeling our devs have cut and run. I left to go try PoE2 because of the memory leak and it’s still an issue.
I hope whatever is going on behind the curtain addresses your concerns, those of everyone else, and we get to have more things to argue over in the near future, because as it stands, it’s looking like we were all just passing the time with this, pointlessly.
