Arena. the greatest competitive mode in any arpg

first i want to say that arena is the one thing that grabbed and hooked me into this game at the start and i love it. all i do is focus on building my character to top arenas (without snapshot builds) and i find it fulfilling and fun to see how my build preforms in arena. i appreciate the idea of a competitive mode in an arpg as none of the other games have one and it really sets last epoch apart (races dont count as competitive modes as they are biased to people who slam energy drinks for 48 hours strait or take 2 weeks off of work/ dont have a job)

with that aside i would like to say that arena needs to be given some love. currently the scaling in arena feels a little bit slow. pushing over 1000 feels like such a grind and its really only when you get to 900+ where the game starts to feel really fun as most enemy waves can kill you if your not paying attention and fighting them properly. this season i made it to 1150 so far and it was a lot of fun pushing over 900 but damn if its not super boring to get all the way up there. what i propose is that the new 1000+ should be at 500. make the waves scale up twice as fast and it would be a lot more fun to keep trying again and again to beat your highscore. most of the time i play once or twice a season and cant be bothered to spend hours climbing back up to where i was.

TLDR
make this gamemode even more fun to push by reducing the massive grind it takes to get to the higher more challenging waves and im sure more people will compete and engage with the gamemode

I’m excited to do these, once I’m comfortable with my character. But I wonder: Is it a pain in the butt farming for the keys just to do runs?

no not at all. you will have so many keys.

D3 also had a competitive mode with greater rifts. I don’t think it was that great, but it did exist.

d3 is an old game. d4 is the current arpg and it doesnt have a competitive mode
