Can we have a “are you sure” on skill nodes? Just a small qol thing to make sure when your reading nodes you don’t accidentally click it and select it without meaning to.
Yeah I definitely spec’d into the wrong node a few times lol
If you respec and have ten points to dispatch, you will have to confirm all ten one by one?
At a moment, players need to take their responsabilities. Considering that it is relatively fast and easy to relevel skills, we can do with an error sometimes.
at the end of the points it would just ask " are you sure?" then apply. whenever the total of your points hits zero, it asks you are you sure.
OK. What happens if you have 7 points, you just apply 6 then leave? Confirmation before leaving?
The idea is interesting, I’m just curious to see how you would handle the details.
The best solution is to have a CANCEL button. But only available after you’ve invested (changed) some points into a skill node(s). After you close the skill window - there’s no button of course until you have allocated a skill point again.
This seems like a good theoretical solution. Tie it into the window instance itself, either a cancel button or the are you sure button. Once the window is closed, it goes back to the regular window. Not sure how easy that would be to program in, but as noted above a confirmation button after every point would quickly become very tedious, especially in the cases of respecs.
I personally prefer skill points only being applied by hitting an “apply” button. Available skill points can be moved around freely (not already “applied” ones) until the apply button is pressed. I’d rather accidentally not enter a point than have to relevel a skill for accidentally entering it in the wrong node.
