just got back home and instantly got in which still feels weird. Did you try to contact the guys on discord maybe?
Update So I tried again and started in the US-Central queue at about 8000. In about 30min it ticked down to like 6800, then went to zero in an instant and let me in. So for those waiting in the queue it does eventually let you in.

You have to hold your left eye closed, then click alt-0-1 with your left hand only while holding your breath.
