Are companions affected by stat changes without resummoning?

I know necromancer “minions” don’t get any changes from their skill tree or your items without resummoning them. Do “companions” work differently though? Like if I shift into werebear form do my already summoned companions benefit from that 10 extra strength? (because there is no way to resummon them as a bear…)

I don’t think so, pets snapshot the stats the time they are summoned. Just summon your pets and let them attack, then get a bit naked and let your pets attack the same enemys. Last time I checked they did the same dmg ^^.

Hmm, okay, if pet snapshotting is not an early access thing, is the final solution for this, then it’d be nice to have more flexibility with the skill bar after transforming. So I can resummon my companions somehow, and also to support builds that want to use companion abilities while transformed.

Druid is terribly outdated and badly implemented if you compare it to the lich. Same goes for the spriggan form. I don’t know what the devs thought when they implented this but somehow it seems like they want to keep it as it is… sadly.

Companions will get updated if you go to a new area. I found this out when running a snapshotted machine gun spriggan I would have to put on the companion geat before continuing every 10 waves in arena and as soon as I loaded in switch back.

As you say, the Druid is old so I dare say the devs have learned a few things since they created the Primalist. They also don’t have infinite resources to fix & polish everything immediately, so to say that they must want to keep it like it is because they haven’t changed it yet is unfair.

That’s what they said so far when I asked and when it came to the point of changing the WB button layout. Do you remember the post when people made a topic about how wasted the skillpoints in every skill are that isn’t packed in the narrow skillset of the WB? Sure soe things got better with Idols but since back then the answer was “this it it.”.

That’s why I say it looks like it’s set in stone and this makes me sad. They might change something about it and a dev mentioned something cryptic and teasing about it in the discord but I can only look at what I got so far.

This is why I say that it looks like they might don’t want to change it, it’s an observation with no intention to be fair or unfair. On top of it I hope they implement the other masteries first before they change the concepts or mechanics of the classes we have now.
