Are there any news on “appear as offline”? I mean - anyone can add anyone as a friend and you don’t even get a notice on that. From then on, they see your online status a any given time. You don’t know about it and you can’t do anything about it.

What is the problem when your friends see you online? I tell my friends “I play solo this game have good loot.” and they leave me alone ^^.
His point wasn’t about his friends seeing he’s online. It’s about anyone seeing it. You don’t need to actually accept a friend request. I can just add you as my friend and you don’t even know it and now I can see when you’re online all the time.
I don’t think it’s a big issue, but I don’t think it should work this way either. And it’s not that hard to create a setting that will always show you as offline (after which you can tell your actual friends if you’re online or not).
Thank you, it’s exactly this. Either giving the opportunity to see, in who’s friendlist you are and give an option to drop from their list / reject requests or giving the opportunity to appear “as offline” for anyone should be standard in 2025.
