Anyone else think that Rive feels odd?

I’m trying to find words to describe it.

I’m not complaining about the skill tree or dps and such, but just the way the skill feels.

Its like swinging a wiffle bat.

There is little feedback that makes me feel that I’m actually hitting something. No cathartic “crunch” or visual cue that makes me feel that I’m making good contact with the enemy.

Anyone else feel this way about Rive?

There are some skills that don’t have as much “crunch” (visually or audibly), yes. D3, for all it’s faults & issues, did well in that regard.

Yeah. I feel that for a lot of skills, still. It’s the not so crunchy hit sound and the lack of a hit animation on the mobs.

It’s better at lower levels (or with high stun chance) when you are stunning enemies very often. The stun makes me more feel like I hit something. And when I don’t stun enemies it feels like a miss.

I’d like to have more stagger effects on enemies. Some enemies like scorpions have this. Admittedly the Scorpions on the other side might be a bit overacting when getting hit
