Anyone else get the "how would the other games have done this" thought?

Every now and then in LE I interact with a mechanic, have a blast, and then imagine how it would have been done in the other games. And i think it shows how good we have it and how much EHG respect our time and desire to have fun, blast, and try three builds in just a few days (I’m already brainstorming a fourth)

A few examples

Nemesis egg
A free affix or free LP increase would be WAY too generous. In other games egging your item would have a chance to destroy it, brick it, or add a tag that makes it impossible to re-egg it. You most certainly wouldn’t be able to use your bricked item to reroll an equal uniques stats!

Julra cooking
Getting more affixes on a build-enabling unique is WAY TOO BROKEN. In other games, uniques would not be eligible for temple upgrades. Not even Wolcen (who invented this system by accident) had the cohones to keep it (immediately patched, RIP wolcen, maybe don’t nerf bleeding edge when the half the tree isn’t working!)

Uber Aberroth fight
A boss fight you can try infinitely? A hard boss you can actually practice? In other games you’d need to farm 6 fragments from 300 shards just to try get one-shot (while streamers no-life the game and one-shot him to dominate the economy anyway)

Monos/echos you can actually complete with your build
Being able to click into a mono and have options to itemise against its mods (eg you can freely click crit mods because you have crit immunity or crit dmg reduction) is amazing. In other games you would have echos you cannot progress past because it turns off regen, plays an uno reverse on your one-shot damage, or creates mobs who are simply immune to your damage type)

Most things with no downsides
You can click most nodes and passives and get only a minor downside (you get HP at the cost of some minion HP). In other games, getting flat damage might come at 30% less attack speed. Or you’d no longer deal certain kinds of damage. etc. Cringe

Direct teleport to boss room
The only other post i’ve ever made to this forum was last cycle when i was Not Having A Good Time because temples would crash at the last boss door, losing my keys. It’s BEYOND AMAZING that I can craft portals using the keys I don’t use and try the boss fight, and that I can reattempt the fight by spending resources.
In other games, you’d get portalled back to hideout, and would have to farm up 3000 shards again.

Yes i know this list is a lot of shade. But I think i’ve come to realise just how little my time has been respected, and I wanted to communicate all the ways I see EHG respects our time and progress and the love and effort they’re putting in to making a game for people who actually want to play and have fun but don’t have streaming his game as their job.

Amazing game, having way too much fun.
