Anyone else dissapointed you can only use ONE primordial item?

Actually a lot of them are way stronger than 3-4 items.

The idea of Primordial Uniques is they are “Build enabling” they are the foundation of the build and now X build can be made because of that item. These new Primordial items will keep us busy for a very long time because many of our wildest build concepts we couldn’t do before we can now.

So when something is “Build enabling” you don’t need more than 1 of them.

This isn’t really how it works for a Primordial Exalt item. The T8 affix which is 50-100 stronger than T7 is SEALED on it’s own unique affix. So you can run double sealed affix for a total of 6 affixes on an exalt. You can literally create T-30+ items. That’s wild.

I like this type of gearing puzzle; something that gives you a big benefit but you have to strategically decide how to apply it, or what to sacrifice to gain it. It enhances the importance of the item when a bunch of them can’t be stacked, and also opens the door for oddball effects from the design side because they know other primordial items won’t replace all of your other gear slots.

Restrictions encourage creativity and inevitably lead to variance. Both are desirable for an RPG.

Reminds of the Destiny 2 shooter game where you can equip one exotic or something like that? (been a long time since I played that game)

I’d imagine one would be way more than enough of a power increase for Season 3.

nah one is cool. as long as the lore behind only being able to use one is solid I don’t mind.

One Primordial per season keeps The Nerf Doctor away

Here is my feedback and thoughts on this and the game overall for Last Epoch after buying the Ultimate Edition of the game.

I have been playing Last Epoch since December of last year and I must say the game is fun, rewarding and refreshing compared to PoE 1 - PoE 2 and Diablo 4. Basically, Last Epoch is like a much better and polished up version of Path of Exile, which has become very slow, unrewarding and super grindy, especially when there is only a few months to each season. As for Diablo 4, we all know D4 still needs a lot of fixes and improvements, but the lastest season with the new Paladin class I have enjoyed and it is fun. I am always fair and bold when it comes to any game I support, and always hope for the games I play to get better over time.

As for Last Epoch, it has become my favorite new game to play and the storyline is epic and entertaining, but there are some areas of the game that definitely need improvements. I also wrote a positive review on Steam about Last Epoch and shared my experience and suggestions for improvements as well. I don’t recommend any games to anyone unless I experience it for myself first, and although Last Epoch officially launched in February 2024, it is impressive compared to other similar games. Good job overall by Eleventh Hour Games.

My thoughts and Suggestions for Last Epoch:

As for the limitations on Primordial gear and players only allowed to equip ONE piece at a time, that is just ridiculous and not necessary for an ARPG. I would strongly suggest for Last Epoch Devs to consider allowing players to be able to equip at least 2 Primordial gear pieces when players hit max level. There is no reason for such silly limitations in any game. I believe Last Epoch, like any game, is meant to be fun and for players to progress and experience the power fantasy, but not be hindered and limited. By allowing players to equip 2 Primordial pieces at max level (100) sets a fun and challenging goal for players to reach max level to enjoy the power fantasy and progress even further in the end game. As a long time gamer, this is what I would strongly suggest for the Last Epoch Devs to consider to enhance the game experience for all players.

My progress so far: I just reached level 65 earlier today and it has been fun playing. I like the storyline, too! Good job on that. As for the gear drop and still getting level 5 to level 20 plus gear drops at level 65 (regardless of loot filter), and some that are not even for my Void Knight class, the progress can feel a bit off, but it is steady thanks to the skills and passives that increase the character power. I have a Beastmaster character as well at level 38 and it is definitely fun and refreshing playing both of these classes in Last Epoch. My Girl also joined the fun and created a Necromancer class and she’s level 48 and keeps telling me to play another game until she gets to max level lol. We are both enjoying Last Epoch and that is all that matters, which is why I am sharing my experience on this forum.

Suggestions continued:
On gear in Last Epoch: I believe it would be a lot better for all players during leveling and progression if gear evolved based on character levels. For example, the very useful and helpful Amulet Evolution’s End (Unique gear) could either scale as players level for certain unique gear or when the next drop of the Unique Amulet happens as a players progresses further the stats and level increases based on the character’s level. This type of progression would be a lot better than the current gear system in the game.

Extra Side Note: As for Weaver’s Will and Legendary Potential for gear, I believe this is awesome to have in the game and I will see how it goes. I currently have one piece of Primordial gear, which is great and a total powerhouse - the Thicket of Blinding Light Armor that reflects damage to enemies and it’s just epic. I have saved plenty of gear with LP and Weaver’s Will and I will definitely experiment and see what works out best once I get to max level.

On Forging Potential:
As for Forging Potential, this could definitely be a lot better. For example, vendors sell items with such low Forging Potential that it’s not even worth it. The Forging Potential overall needs to be increased acrossed the board in Last Epoch by at least 50% to make it more meaningful and worth while during leveling and progression because it is way too low as it is now, and some things are not very intuitive when there are so many parts that can enhance the player’s character. It can be very confusing. This definitely needs improvement big time. The Last Epoch Devs can simply make some mats a little more challenging to get for players to upgrade gear, and create special challenging events or add new events to existing ones to allow for specific crafting mats that upgrade and enhance gear. This would make progression feel a lot better, too. It is not so good to have the same low level gear with the exact same stats at level 65, that’s for sure. In this area, the gear progress can be a lot better in Last Epoch.

I still have yet to reach max level so until I experience and learn more about the progression in the game, that is all I can say based on my own experience. I am in the early stages of doing Monolith of Fate and it is pretty cool so far and I see how the unlocking of new rare types of gear can be obtained, which is awesome, but I still believe the early gear progression and Forging Potential can be a lot better than it is now.

On Dungeons:
As for dungeons and keys, players should have a few chances to kill a boss and not lose out and get locked out of the dungeon completely. This part is unnecessary and simply just too punishing and ridiculous. I have no ideas what the devs where thinking when they did this. This definitely needs improvement, big time. As I progress further and venture into this area of the game, I will share my thoughts further when I reach max level.

On Loot / Gear Drops:
On rare and other drops (regardless of loot filter) - I believe there should be a way for players to at least salvage all of the loot that is dropped for mats or gold etc. instead of losing out on it completely, or at least when the player ports back to town to unload any extra loot the player should not have to lose out on the loot left behind and start over, because as it is now every time a player ports back to town they lose whatever is left behind, which is not necessary. I suggest for players to be allowed to go back to their original instance where they left off and get the loot that dropped at the very least and a toggle on or off feature for this can be added because some players may want to start fresh and don’t mind. But I believe an option should be given here because many players like to go back to where they left off and not have to start all over again, especially if they want to get the gear they were not able to fit in their bag.

On The Void Knight Rive Skill Bug:
On a final note, on my Void Knight character, I did notice that the Rive skill can randomly fail to work and the only workaround I tried that actually works without doing a respec and changing skills, is by temporarily replacing Rive in the skill slot with any existing skill you are using and then just put Rive back on a different Skill slot. That is what works and has worked consistently for me after happening 4 times. I sent in a few bug reports about this to Last Epoch so they should be aware of this by now. It is not fun when doing battle with enemies and suddenly a core skill fails to work lol. That is NOT good. So hopefully, this will get fixed soon. But at least there is a workaround to make sure the skill continues to work if it fails by simply switching the Rive skill with another skill slot. This is based on my experience as of yesterday.

That is pretty much it on my feedback and game experience with Last Epoch as of 01/04/2026 - for now. Overall, Last Epoch is awesome, fun, rewarding and has a lot of potential to be much better and even better than most popular ARPGs out there. With that said, Eleventh Hour Games has done a very good job so far. Keep up the good works, Last Epoch Team!

Happy New Year and Gaming All! - JJ -

Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how you feel after doing monoliths/empowered monoliths for a while. I’m glad you’re enjoying it though.

I wish it were possible to equip one bought item from the seasonal vendor, and one item you crafted up to Tier 8. I made that mistake. I didn’t realize initially both were classified as primordial and only one could be equipped. So I spent the cash to buy off the bazaar the exact Item I wanted to craft to 8. However i already had the staff from the vendor I bought and found out I couldn’t equip both. Live and learn but I still think it would have been better to allow a vendor item and a crafted one. If it’s not going to be a perma feature and just a seasonal one, then it wouldn’t have that great an impact or at least not for long.

It’s a core feature. LE doesn’t do seasonal mechanics yet. Everything they add to the game is core and is added “as is”, meaning it won’t be dilluted next season like PoE does.

So we’ll have primordials in all future seasons.

its a balancing feature. personally i’ve dreamed of making my own game. if i actually ever come to it. unique items will always be powerful but its similar to LE where you can only use 1 unique item. or perhaps need to unlock some stuff to unlock a second unique slot.
