I feel i have somewhat contradicted myself in this thread so i thought i would make clear what my thoughts on SSF should be like :
Drop rates should stay the same as normal mode (or even lower as i like the challenge)
Conversion to normal mode shouldnt be possible (i like restrictions and the feel of being locked in my choices)
If they make more items that are build enabling (like “Legacy of the quiet forest” that imo is 100% needed to play Spriggan Form") and change droprates of those items to very low, then that wouldnt be fair as i feel every char/form should be avaible to be played (not with top gear but atleast available), but i doubt they would do that so my point is probably non existing.
I dont want items like for example “Eye of reen” " Exsanguinous" etc that are only semi build-enabling to be any more reasonable aquirable than they are now.
Items that makes your char clear 300+ waves in arena should still be very hard to get/craft
Dont know why i wrote this, but i had too much cofee and felt like blabbering
Agree very much with what you said. But with regard to
I think the droprate for everything seems so high that I don’t even see how anyone would want to make trades. It feels like the only things that are valuable might be top rolled T20+ rares and idols.
In fact, the way the whole game is played now including how we use filters seems so natural for ssf (where we basically filter out everything except for the specific stuff needed for the build we’re playing). But maybe the trade/MP oriented items and drop rates haven’t been built in yet. Who knows
This is the nature of one hack n slash, which isn’t a perfect game. EHG has already stated that target farming certain types of items is a goal of theirs and it’s already in the game. There is absolutely no reason why SSF has to be build limited into not having access to build enabling uniques just because that’s the way PoE does it. The chase should be in build optimization, not in build enabling.
The current SSF allows for target farming of build enabling uniques, so I agree!
This is contradictory to the idea that build enabling uniques can’t be target farmed, since there is no way to grind for them anyways. People aren’t lazy, they don’t have a realistic path to getting what they need.
Sure, they should do that, while also having a realistic path to playing the build that they really want to. Whether or not they want to trade with others should be irrelevant to whether or not they can play a build.
I never stated that LE in it’s current form is restrictive in any way to playing SSF. I stated the opposite:
I never suggested anything about the current state of the game should change. Build enabling uniques are currently target farmable, and that’s good. If it went the way of PoE with no clear path to a build enabling unique, that is what would be bad.
