Cuz I’ve been reading some posts stating that devs are working on it, and these posts were 10 months before. So, I personally do not like to share my account name; as a data protection lawyer myself, I found this very unnecessary, and no other game is doing this. Pardon me if I’m not following, yet I couldn’t find the place to change.

No there hasn’t been any announced changes yet as far as I’m aware (unless they’ve been in the last few streams, which I’ve missed). Doesn’t D3 use your account name? I also thought PoE did in trading when whispering but I’d have to check.
POE lets you direct a whisper at an account name, but it’ll convert it into the currently logged in character name when it’s actually displayed.

This is one thing that really bothers me so far about LE. I want my character name to show not account name.
Any word from the Devs on this?

I don’t think they’ll ever change this. But still don’t understand why you need to do the same thing as POE or other games if it’s true. A big LOL! Character name should be a character name in the game and that’s it.

Is there any place I can change my LE account name? When I go to “account” it only brings up my linked Steam account.
