Any update about Lightning Blast causing fatal error?

Hello… anyone have an update about Lightning Blast causing all the Fatal Error crashes?

Hi, there are still some bug reports from other players and it’s a known issue also for the devs. I think the devs will definitly let us know when they have any updates for the crashes…maybe in the next big patch, we can only hope

-We’ve made a change that’s seemed to fix it internally, but full testing has not been done yet. If it works then the fix will be in 0.7.8.

You can convert the spell to cold damage!

You get all the same effects as if it was lightning, you know chain, overcharged, hypercharged etc.

AND you also get an added bonus of being able to freeze the enemies solid, nice bit of crowd control

EDIT: I know this is only a make do fix, but it is fun. Having a right blast with it on my mage

@Matke I made the jump to that node. Not quite level 20 yet, but it’s definitely interesting. Thanks for the idea

Yup, you take the current build, convert to cold & swap any % lightning damage to % cold damage.

Don’t forget to change your damage idols to cold as well. (it works but not as much fun as the lightning imho)

Hit level 40 with my mage. And Ice blast is really starting to shine. Basic damage is around 500-600 per hit, with crits going over 2k. And its great watching Overcharge and hypercharge proc at the same time

Okay its not got the massive hits like glacier, but it makes up for that with a greater range, and you don’t have to stop for a rest after 3-4 casts huffing and puffing!
