I’ve looked around and other than a guide on how to run the game at 30fps (I’m capping it at 60fps and this is low enough) is there any known methods for getting better performance in the game? Playing earthquake druid and fps dropping to unplayable levels in arena, getting robbed over and over again at wave 260-280ish because the game turns into a slideshow just makes me feel like quitting again.
Are there any suggestions? I am sure its not a hardware issue as I have a less than year old high end gaming rig. I’ve kind of lost count of builds I have to ‘give up’ because of their fps issues in the end game and I’m kind of tired of it.
2 things you can try helped me.
increase you virtual ram on pc to 25gb
even 16 gb reg mb ram this game ill eat it up
second i noticed if i lower my desktop resolution to 1280 by 1024 the game runs alot better. i think that takes stress off the video card from running windows at max resolution,
hope this helps.
but also the game engine they use unity has issues with loads of on screen effects happening at once. so you may not be able to really fix it till they optimize the game better.
I’m not sure how to go about increasing virtual ram beyond what it actually is, and at the time of these FPS problems, LE is eating 99% of my memory and 99% of my CPU simultaneously, I’m not sure I want to go tinkering with things like that in the possibility that I damage my PC as I don’t know what I’m doing
I don’t think lowering my resolution is an option either. I’m playing on an ultra wide very large curved screen. This also will have a negative effect on my stream quality, as I am streaming the game regularly already at the lowest possible graphics settings.
I have however updated my graphics drivers today, so hopefully that makes a difference, otherwise I will keep an eye on this thread for any possible developments and solutions
Only certain builds can get smooth gameplay and decent FPS.
One wrong PC part and this game will have a lot of fps issues. We will get a fix one day, and i hope it’s soon because most of players just can’t play with so much fps drop, so they stay away from LE for this reason.
I am sure that once the game is properly optimized we will see a good spike in playerbase.
i play with the start option ‘-window-mode exclusive’ and my nvidia card is running with a little bit less usage, i ever have 10,x GB RAM in use if i play LE + browser on the second monitor even with 3440*1440 ultra, so 16GB should be ok
most time i play with very low for smooth gameplay, there are still enough shadows and effects on screen with this setting, but some skills are fps killer atm
