Any point to respeccing a skill when I have more skill points coming?

So I have a level 23 character with a level 9 specialized skill. I have come to realize that I wished I had taken my specialties in a different order. Now as far as I know, “respeccing” skills in this game is actually just deleting points; you don’t get any point refunds to respend, right?

Then my question is this. I need 5 skill spec points to get the specialty I want in the skill. If I delete five specialty points from the skill, will the next five skill points come more quickly than if I don’t? Is there any benefit to me in my circumstance to “respeccing” the five points I need elsewhere, or will getting the next five spec points for that skill take the same time whether I delete five points from it or not?

Your max skill level is hard capped on your char level.

Respeccing is no big deal your new or reworked skill will catch up to your current (char lvl based) max skill level very fast.

Feel free to experiment.

Will I gain the next 5 points of skill spec faster if I delete 5 points from my skill, or will the next 5 points come in at the same speed no matter what? Is there any benefit to deleting the 5 skill points in order to re-get than faster?

If you go back from 9 to lets say 5 you will regain this 4 points very fast. A lot faster than you gain the points 10-14.

To be abel to get a 14 point skill you need a char around lvl 40-50 i guess. Sorry i only know the min lvls for 19 and 20 …
