Any plasma orb build viable this season?

Like a tittle. I had tons of fun with plasma orb build in 1.0.

Now playing shatter build but im already bored. Any plasma orb builds for 100-500 corruption?

It was updated 10 days ago, so I assume it’s viable.

It’s the only one I can find, though, so probably not that great.

Brand of Deception using Plasma Orb for clear would be fine.

I am using this build, still building up to where I swap to strength stacking … was a strong build until the last patch that broke flame rush while channeling focus using mana guide. Right now its pretty much unplayable until they fix flame rush or you decide to somehow use something else to trigger your brand.

You can manually cast RI & that won’t be broken by channelling focus.

yeah but that invokes the cooldown, it would break the build because can’t apply brand of deception fast enough to keep damage happening consistently. currently I use flame rush to target hop into enemy groups that casts RI and places brand and I pop frost wall for added damage then when flame rush is back up pop it again with no or short traversal to apply brand again and keep consistent damage. 4 second cooldown on RI breaks the damage flow and I would still need to stop channeling focus to cast flamerush into a group of enemies then start channeling focus again, takes down my defenses when jumping into the pack.

It’s not unplayable, and you’re not really using flame rush to stack brand anyways. You just keep getting Plasma orb from the short distance flame rush and it still works…

As for viable… I’m currently crushing 1K with it and it’s pretty low effort.

flame rush is triggering plasma orb which is giving brand. right now I move around super slow channeling focus and then get close and trigger instant flame rush to proc RI which is plasma which puts brand on enemies… so yeah technically not broken build but who wants to lose the control we had before with flame rush in exchange for trudging through the mud slow walking up to mobs and mini flame exploding on them then slowly chasing things down to mini flame explode on them again. It just isn’t the same game play where before I was zooming around targeting mobs exploding into them, then zooming into stragglers exploding them, zooming to next mob rinse and repeat… now its like let me slow roll around map that now takes me 3 times longer to complete… with less satisfying game play for what … what exactly was wrong with way it was working before?

For sure it’s not optimal, and is a bit slower… but calling it unplayable is a bit of a stretch. Besides, they’re working on a fix, so it shouldn’t be in this state for very long.

Agreed, unplayable was a bit harsh. For me it was but that is mainly because I no longer liked the way it played. Appreciate the reply and thought on it though. saw on reddit they are looking into it to provide a fix so hopefully like you said it will be fixed soon.

Nothing, it’s a bug, it happens which is unfortunate.
