An actual complaint about warpath

Warpath is one of the most fun skills in the game with a lot of ways to build it - but certain nodes in it do not work quite as well.

Which ones? Area nodes, as they are all increased area(not more area) and only the 2h and standing still versions have anything halfway decent, if you are to put a whole 8 points into increasing area it ends up not being all that big compared to the price you pay for it(I expected stand in place warpath with every area node to come at least close to covering the screen).

To be honest the only area nodes worth getting are the ones you get to reach other nodes or the 2h nodes because they do not cost much and give a big increase(for just 2 points for 100% area)

You may say “but it is comparable to channeled elemental nova”, but the issue is that to compete novas channeled aoe, with you had to give up mobility to get it that big, while you can just get quicksilver wind for more mobility on warpath and end up with more ability to clear packs as a result as you can move from enemy to enemy faster. Meanwhile nova is able to select exactly where to target while it hits the same area, allowing for fast screen clear.

I wanted to play a meme area warpath, but I feel that it just doesn’t get enough area to be worth it and damage/mobility nodes are better for pack clearing.

Keep in mind that elemental nova(the comparison) ALSO has a node that increases area for a cost, by giving it a cooldown, but instead of just 100% increased area, it gives 300% - so it becomes able to clear the entire screen with a single button(it also gets to minimise the impact of that cost with extra charges and cooldown rate).

The skill is getting a complete overhaul in less than 2 weeks.

I don’t care about Warpath AoE personaly. The dmg is a bit low for my taste but that’s only me.
