Alts and problem with Faction tagged items

It should be possible to join factions long before Chapter 9 for any alt char. As it is now, speaking from CoF point of view Solo account found is in worse state as previously as finding specially lots of leveling uniques potentialy useful for alts Cof tagged and not being useable by them.

Maybe it would be possible make them “honorary members” temporarily until chapter 9, so they only could use tagged loot and not gain favour or reputation until “formally members”?

I don’t play MG, so I don’t know benefits or problems for this factions, so I don’t know if it would be beneficial or not.

But you can join as an alt - the faction people show up in the very first town; it’s just a matter of talking to the one you want. Unless you mean something else?

I didn’t try it, as I had a bunch of alts pre 1.0 started and mid campaign. Thanks!
