This would allow us to accurately select the minion that we want, instead of having to try to target a specific minion that constantly moves around.

yes and also despawn minion should work that way 
I tried this when I first got acquainted with dread shade and tried to click on the portrait of a minion to get more accuracy. Really wish it worked.
