This is a feature I frequently use in Path of exile and I think would work well on Last epoch, players can buy the smaller pack to try out the game and once they like and feel like they are enjoying it they can upgrade their already existing pack for higher tier ones with having to pay the same amount for duplicate items.
I am not sure if this is already possible via support, but it would be awesome if it is available directly through the website.
This used to be manually doable. But they stopped it and are currently upgrading their website to be able to do it automatically as you suggested (i.e. similar to POE website).
PS. not sure if it is intented for different badges in the same series to show though.
