Hi all.
I thought I’d post my finding while playing around the loot filter options. Maybe this is not new, if so sorry for posting. I have not seen this mentioned else where.
So I been playing a short time, I made it to the monolith maps thing. My character had good enough gear for now but I noticed most things my loot filter shows aren’t things I really am looking for. I wanted to make a filter that shows only upgrades to my things. To do that I needed to specify multiple affixes, at different tiers.
The ingame filter option only allows to add 1 affix. So I opened the loot filter in a text editor and started to play around. I tested adding the affix filter portion of an item 2 times, and it works. The game shows it fine and the options work.
So I made a base template, mainly for myself but I figured I’d share it to anyone who might be interested: LE Advance strict loot filter - Pastebin.com
So this is a template only, not a ready made filter. It has a few rules. It’s a strict filter, it hides all items and all idols at base. Then it recolors all very rare (according to Last Epoch Tools item database), and items that have high tier total of affixes. Next it has options for each item seperately (weapon, offhand, 2handed, rings, relics etc) and for all items it allows to specify 4 affixes seperately. So you can specify for example, only show one handed sword that has T5 added lightning damage, T4 added fire damage, T1 chance to chill and T3 chance to bleed. All the affixes are set separately so you can filter the tiers. For idols it’s basically the same but the have only 2 affixes, and are grouped by size.
I will mention, if you remove the added extra affix choices in the filter, you can not get them back ingame. So if you only care about 2 specific affixes and 2 can be what ever, set the what-ever-affixes to the same as either of the ones you want, they can not be “none” cos then the item is hidden. Setting the same twice works.
So if anyone wants to make a very strict filter that only shows item exactly you want, here’s a base for that
EDIT: guess I should also mention, I have not tested this extensively, still working on that. Was just exited to discover something and wanted to post right away
