I posted this yesterday in an older thread but the forum home page somehow didn’t update. If I’m not mistaken, even an older thread gets put on top if it has been updated or if there’s a new reply from any user. I did refresh several times and went back to it after a couple of times but it didn’t. I’ll just post it again here and add a few more thoughts, but feel free to delete this if necessary.

- Unchecking chat regions also doesn’t save (Public, Direct and Party). I’d like my chat ON when playing with friends obviously, it’s just I want to turn off the global one since it buries the party chat log too fast. But this resets sometimes when changing zones.
- Chat recipient sometimes reset when changing zones too. Having to click to “party” before I type my sentence is quite annoying (ofc I’m aware I could just do “/p [message]” whenever I press Enter key). How many times I’ve accidentally sent my message in Global chat too which is quite embarrassing.
- Profanity filter–does this even work? I have it disabled from Esc->Settings and as well as from the gear icon in chat. The game still wont let me type some words that are censored for whatever reason even it’s not malicious. It’s really frustrating after typing quite a long sentence and then it just won’t send without warning even it doesn’t even contain any censor-worthy words in it. And what’s the point of having option to enable/disable if the game won’t let us type these “censored words” to begin with anyways?
- EDIT: Not a bug but please allow chat to take priority when the stash is open. Sometimes I want to type something while I’m browsing my stash but I have to close it just so I can type. Having to re-type whatever keyword (or delete 1 letter) in the search bar every time I open my stash just adds more chore because the search resets after you close it but the keyword remains in the search bar. (I probably butchered the explanation on this one).
Regarding #3, I think the current filter is way too strict. I’d like some option to completely disable it in party chat especially when playing with friends. "
Additional note: I think the game should still let us send the message we typed whether it really does or does not have any mature content in it. Rather than failing to send (which really feels clunky and annoying for me at least), just censor the parts that the game thinks worthy to be censored, and I’m talking about “&%$@!” kind of censor.
I just made it a suggestion rather than a bug report. And since most of the older topic I found is just mostly about the chat-constantly-enabling-itself kind, so I’ve decided to make it a separate one. And ofc, I am suggesting that these chat settings should save between sessions as a default, rather than every time we log in. And more importantly, who doesn’t want to say “F**kyou” or talk sh*t to your close friends and laugh at their T-posing corpse? Right?
Chat filter stricter than Asian parents too.
