Add a trader to the "Farsight Turtle" woven echo

It would be a great QoL addition to have a trader in the Farsight Turtle woven echo. Currently it’s quite frustrating to manage your stash through the process of rerolling a lot of items.

  • Some items get turned into higher LP gear, which you then stash
  • Some select items you are hunting, get reverted to LP0 and you put them in your Nemesis Egg tab
  • But the vast majority of items, get reverted to LP0 and will be sold for gold

Right now the third group, which is ~95% of the items, need to be put back in stash tabs temporarily just so you can go back to town and then grab them from the stash again for selling. Not only is this a bunch of unnecessary back and forth clicking, but depending on your available stash space it can also get messy and slow.

It would be so much more convenient to have a trader next to the center crystal, so you can immediately sell what you don’t need.

Maybe he is the caretaker of the turtle and he loves the ocean so much that he is trying to stop those pesky adventurers from throwing all their trash away. Just look at the screens of discarded items people are posting on reddit, the turtle’s back can’t handle it. Save the ocean. Save the turtle. Add the trader! :turtle:

I’m not against having a vendor there, but honestly, there really is no point in selling uniques. I always just throw them on the ground. It’s not like the gold you get from them is relevant in any way.

Agree to disagree, but at least you didn’t dismiss the idea  Right now I’m starved for more gold and stash space. The gold I get from a few tabs of uniques make enough of a difference for me to care. Spamming 2 slot daggers that give 1-2k gold a pop is helpful.

Uniques do have a far larger gold value than exalteds, so it’s a game design decision they made to put emphasis on them being a source of gold. Good or bad is different for different players. This addition is just convenience factor and QoL for a new mechanic that a lot of people seem to be getting use out of.

They do, but the gold you get from selling them is irrelevant compared to the gold you get by simply killing mobs and doing gold echoes. Especially as you go up in corruption.
And the time you waste picking up useless uniques and then vendoring them is better used by simply killing them.

The game is designed in a way that vendoring items is always a net loss. You make way more from regular combat.

But yeah, I’m not against having it there. I know some people feel like they have to do that. I’m just pointing out that it’s not an overall good strategy and you’re actually making less gold per second (and less fun) by doing that instead of ignoring them and keeping on playing the game.

I understand where you’re coming from and I largely agree with you, but I think we are getting sidetracked.

The Farsight Turtle exists for target farming upgrades, so anyone going to it, already has the items. I doubt anyone would argue against a oneclick reroll being a “waste of time”. So this isn’t about playing the game with the mindset of vendoring every item that drops on the ground.

The gold is a side effect, and in terms of game design, it could be handled smoother in this small area. I’m sure plenty of people would use the vendor rather than drop the items on the ground, especially considering how wonky shift-clicking the items in that whole UI is.
