It’s been over 24 hours since launch and honestly the connectivity and login issues have gotten worse. How is this possible? With the weekend coming up I’m not very optimistic about the situation getting any better.
Take ownership (and accountability) of the issue. If you don’t know how to fix the problem; reach out to other industry professionals and consult. I love this game, but you’re not exactly reinventing the wheel or venturing into unknown territory when it comes to performance or server stability. Look around, take a deep breath, and act, otherwise 5 years of hard work are going to go straight down the “mostly negative” steam review trash can, which would be sad because you’ve created a great game here.
This take is so hot I’m going to fry some eggs on it. They’ve been working constantly to fix all the issues, apologized repeatedly, compensated us, and are providing updates regularly in multiple places.

tbf I had a sleepless night and felt very harmed the next day but this could be as well be a lack of healthy muffins. That recipe that went arround here wasn’t that good.
I also hate not being able to play the game but to be fair they are in fact taking responsibility, updating us every hour or so on what they are doing (that is not working) and apologizing for the screw up.
Yeah I wish I could rather play then get upset by not beeing able to play. Offline is just not for me and I have nothing else to do. I understand everyone who is salty about the state of the game because everyone wanted a smooth launch but noone can say they don’t stand to the problems they have. At least noone who is smart then 5 meters driveway.

They’ve been pretty transparent on the issues, work they are doing to fix the issues, and provided constant updates on the situation.
I can’t wait until they drop the post mortem they said they’re going to do. All the armchair server and network engineers running around here will never admit that they’re struggling to understand even a dumbed down version, but I’ll know, and will be reveling in it.
They’ve literally provided hour by hour updates in the Discord including detailed information as to what problems they were facing, like the Matchmaking API services failing.
I agree it sucks that the game is not up but they are communicating very clearly as to what the problems are, and the steps they are taking to resolve it.
You’re clueless as to the number of moving pieces and networking equipment between you, and this server you’re so unhappy with.
Have you played any MMO/ARPG on launch like ever dude??? They all have launch issues. I waited in a 8 hour que for d4. POE usually has smooth launches but there servers are complete dogshit crashing all the time when shit get hectic in game, lagging 24/7. You have no idea how hard it is to have a game launch and you have no idea how many players will be playing and how the servers will be holding up. Im not saying im not disapointed that this is happening cause i am but to complain like you have all the answers is absolutley absurd. go play another game while shit is getting figured out or play offline. The game was 35$ dude give me a break this is as cheap as it gets nowadays. its not the end of the world when the servers are shit. They have updated us ever step of the way even compensated us. What other game updates you every step of the way…
How is it entitlement to shriek about “accountability” when quite literally everything that can be done is already being done? Is that a serious question? What world is it a reality where that’s not entitlement?
The complete lack of perspective about this situation is astounding. Some of you are in here talking about being unable to no-life a god damn video game like it’s the mayor taking kickbacks. It hasn’t even been two days of the game having problems. You know they’re working on it. You know it’s going to be fixed. This line about “services or products that are purchased should be useable!!!” is crap.
I played a while until my anger cooked into a short on my channel telling people to stay away until error 61 has been fixed. Apparently this issue has been there in beta for 5 years according to chat. Which if true means they or tencent did nothing for 5 years.

That is not true i bought this game a year ago and have played multiple charcters to 100 and have never had that issue before yesterday. So chat is just BSing like they always do.
Look guys, yeah, the first day was rough. But right now, at lunchtime in AU, I’m straight in, no queues, no detectable lag or issues. So, don’t be just a fair-weather fan!
