My tooltip for Abyssal Echoes says 7455 dps when maxxed (4880 normally). But when I cast it, creatures around me only take a 150-300 hundred damage each second. Why is that? Is it bugged? I’m at level 70.
The tooltip doesn’t account for the % damage reduction (not resists or armour) that mobs get per level.
So how high do I need to get the tooltip dps to make this really hit hard?
I don’t understand Abyssal Echoes. The description says “echoes from enemies”, but echoes what? When I use it, I don’t really see a difference, so I’m not sure what effect it really has.
The big purple AoE you get when you cast Abyssal Echoes. When that hits a mob, it repeats but centred on the mob.
OK then it’s a DoT that is duplicated each time it affects a mob, if I understand. Nice in density, but rather weak against bosses, I guess. Thanks! 
Exactly, and when an affected mob gets hit all the DoT damage is dealt immediately.
