About Skill Animations

I know Last Epoch is in development still and I love what is being made for the skills and effects. However there is one thing that seems to always jump out at me, and that is that skills immediately show and disappear. For example the Tornado skill for Shaman, when it’s duration is up, it just disappears The same happens with Hungering Souls on Necromancer but these are just 2 examples.

I’m hoping that there is something in the works (possibly in the future) for adding to the animations of many skills so that they don’t just abruptly appear and disappear.
In other words a soft entrance and a soft exit.

How does everyone else feel about this?

That’s a good point in my opinion. I think the beginning of the effects is the most noticeable because the end mostly takes place along other effects and animations.

The recently new / revamped skills have very nice and fitting animations. Ice barrage, death seal and spirit plague have very nice animations.

I’d guess that’s something they address along the road.

Indeed I find these kind of things important as well as it impacts the “feel” of a skill. Said this I find spirit plague absolutely satisfying to cast. It’s hard to describe what exactly it is that causes this. The combination of sounds and animation in this case transports the illusion I really do something when I press the button.

Some skills are lacking this feedback and could use some tweaks in that regard.
